Dear GMS Families, The energy of an impending vacation is in the air here at GMS. You can feel it in the excitement of the students and see it as more festive outfits begin to appear. Thank you for sharing your students with us, this energy certainly makes each day happier and easier. Yesterday we experienced our first remote weather day and by all accounts it exceeded our expectations. It was great to combine the importance of learning and the joy of freshly fallen snow into a beneficial day for all students. And as storms go, hopefully yesterday's wasn't a premonition of the winter to come..... Thank you especially to our custodial and grounds staff who worked tirelessly to get the building safe and open by this morning. As impossible as this seems, this will be the last blog post of 2020. We want to take this opportunity to express our thanks and gratitude to you all. 2020 has certainly been memorable. This year has had ups and downs, but it has also provided the opportunity to come together, problem solve, redefine what community actually means, and has brought out the absolute best in people. As we prepare for 2021, we know that we are not only prepared for what the new year will bring us, but also feel equipped to handle anything. We go into 2021 the way we appoach everyday, with our motto: Be Curious. From all of us here at GMS to all of you, we wish you a happy, joyous, and safe Holidays.
Be Well and Be Curious, Dan Mitchell, Principal Maura Clinton- Jones, Assistant Principal
